An article about the Memorial Day ceremonies
conducted at our area churches and American Legion
Post #781 was published with a picture of the ladies
placing the wreath at Emmanuel. You can read the
complete article on the front bulletin board.
It’s a special person who works with kids with special
needs and that person is Jim Rinehimer. He is
pictured giving a high five to Lorenzo George, one of
the students at Drums Elementary/Middle School, at
the 7th annual Special Needs Field Day. Thanks, Jim,
for all your dedication to children.
Our Cub Scout Pack visited WNEP-TV and learned
about meteorology. They are pictured with famed
meteorologist Tom Clark in the “back yard”.
“Safety first” is not just a byline for the scouts of
Troop 434. Our Boy Scouts took 4th place in the
District NEPA 2 Mountains First Aid Meet at King’s
College. They answered questions at 20 different
stations that concerned Boy Scouting and tested their
knowledge of first aid. They did really well
considering this is only the second year they
participated and placed 4th out of 24 troops.
